In its funding decision in January 2026, the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER) set aside funds for at least one additional NCCR from the social sciences and humanities (SSH). For the definition of SSH disciplines, the SNSF applies the discipline classification of mySNF. For interdisciplinary proposals beyond the SSH domain, the main vision and core scientific contribution must remain within the SSH domain.
