The Flagship Initiative aims to find solutions to current or future challenges relevant to a large part of the economy or society. The Initiative strives for solutions to current or future challenges, which concern several actors and/or can only be solved through collaborative work. The funding instrument is complementary to the purely bottom-up oriented and regular innovation projects.
Consortia must consist of at least three (in justified cases two) research partner, one of the research partners needs to ba a university of applied science, and at least two implementation partners. Innosuisse covers 40-60% of the direct costs of a flagship.
