The postdoctoral fellowships programme offered by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) enables researchers in Switzerland to stay in Japan for 12 to 24 months.
For a number of years, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) has acted as a nomination body for the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships. In 2025, the SNSF can propose two researchers to the JSPS. To be eligible, researchers must be based at a Swiss research institution at the time they apply. The selected researchers must commence their stays by 30 November 2025 at the latest.
