The gender equality grant is aimed at young women researchers funded by the SNSF. It offers them additional individualised and flexible support for their career development.
An eligible person receives CHF 1000 per 12 months' approved project running time. The grant may be used to finance career support measures but does not cover family support measures.
requirements: A work-time percentage of at least 60 per cent funded by the SNSF is a prerequisite for the gender equality grant. Doctoral students may be awarded a gender equality grant irrespective of their work-time percentage. The gender equality grant is available to women researchers at doctoral or postdoctoral level who are employed in SNSF-funded projects and career funding schemes or who are beneficiaries of career funding schemes (with the exception of Eccellenza and SNSF Starting Grant). For researchers at universities of applied sciences, a doctorate is not mandatory.
