The aim of the federal government's bilateral programs is to promote and strengthen scientific cooperation with non-European countries with high or promising research potential. The State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) has given the SNSF a similar mandate for the 2025–2028 period, namely to conduct calls for Joint Research Projects (JRPs) in collaboration with other countries.
