Humboldt Research Fellowship for postdocs

With the Humboldt Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables academics from abroad with above-average qualifications who completed their doctorate no more than four years ago to undertake long-term research stays (6-24 months) in Germany.

Researchers of all nationalities and from all disciplines can apply directly to the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at any time. The Humboldt Research Fellowship makes it possible to carry out a personal research project at various stages of an academic career - in cooperation with a host research institution in Germany. The hosts can apply for a research grant. The Humboldt Foundation awards approximately 500 Humboldt Research Fellowships every year.
