AAL Active and Assisted Living Programme

The Active and Assisted Living Programme (formerly “Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme”) aims at enhancing the quality of life of older people and at strengthening the industrial base in Europe through the use of ICT.
The programme has started into its new programme phase 2014-2020. Switzerland continues to be a full member of the programme; the eligibility criteria and funding rates for Swiss participants remain unchanged.
Every year there are one or two calls for proposals focusing on research, industry and end-user organisations. Swiss candidates for AAL proposals are advised to get in touch with their national contact person.

Each AAL project consortium must consist of at least three independent organizations (legal entities) from at least three different countries participating in the call for proposals. Further, the consortium must include at least one SME, at least one business partner, and at least one end-user organization.
